This treatment is often referred to as on-site massage and is based on the traditional Japanese acupressure technique called Anma (press and rub) which stimulates pressure (energy) points in the head, neck and shoulders, spine, lower back, glutes, thighs and where possible, feet.
The treatment usually takes place in a massage chair, often used in seated shiatsu, but can also be performed lying down if the client prefers. The movements are designed to improve the flow of circulation around the body and therefore beneficial to the circulatory and nervous systems.
